01 / THE CHALLENGE

The next big idea
could change a life for the better.

What can we build with AI to improve lives, make public services more accessible, and open up opportunities for more people?

Our AI Hackathon for Mexico brings together engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, and creators to solve real problems and make a public impact.

WHAT TO BUILD

What can you build?

The challenge is wide open. What you build on October 30 could be exactly what someone has been waiting for. Here are a few paths to get started.

01

Better public services

Make government processes and public services easier to find, understand, and use.

02

Opportunities for everyone

Help more people discover education, employment, entrepreneurship, support, and benefit opportunities.

03

Underserved communities

Identify opportunities to improve existing services and build solutions for communities that currently lack access to public services or information.

04

The future of cities and local government

Reimagine how local governments deliver services, communicate with residents, and make decisions.

05

Public data that works

Turn complex public data and documents into tools, agents, APIs, maps, and clear information.

06

Build on public infrastructure

Connect AI with public systems and information to create useful new experiences for people.

02 / THE RULES OF THE GAME

Open ideas.
Real impact.

Each team must:

  1. 1
Build a working AI prototype during the hackathon.
  2. 2
Use an official Mexican public source: government data, a service, or a system.
  3. 3
Document your foundation: cite the source, the date or freshness of the information, and the problem you are solving.
  4. 4
Prioritize public benefit over commercial gain.
  5. 5
Credit the hackathon with a visible mention and a link to the AI Hackathon for Mexico in your project.
  6. 6
Bring your favorite tools, models, and frameworks.
Creativity and intelligence

06 / FAQ

Your questions
before the challenge.

Teams, backgrounds, and requirements. Find the answers here before the challenge.

Who can participate?

Engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, and builders interested in applying AI for public benefit in Mexico. We are looking for teams with complementary skills to build and present a working prototype.

Do I need prior AI experience?

You do not need to be an AI specialist. Experience building applications or products will be valued, as will your ability to contribute to the project’s development.

Do I need a team to register?

No. You can register individually or with a team of up to three people. Each member must complete their own registration.

What happens if I register without a team?

You can form a team with other participants at the start of the event.

Does registration guarantee my participation?

Registration is subject to review and available capacity. You will receive confirmation if your participation is accepted.

What should we build?

A working AI-powered prototype that addresses a specific problem and creates public benefit in Mexico. It must be built during the hackathon.

Is an official public source required?

Yes. Each project must use, connect to, or build on at least one official Mexican public data source, service, or system, and identify its origin, date, or validity.

What tools can we use?

You can use your preferred tools, models, and frameworks. Clara will also provide access to open-source AI models and infrastructure during the event.

What should I bring?

Your computer, charger, and the tools you need to build.

What should we present at the end?

A prototype demonstration explaining the problem, who benefits, how it uses AI, and which official public source it incorporates. The project must also include a reference and a visible link to AI Hackathon por México.

Who is on the jury?

The jury will consist of Clara team members with experience in engineering, artificial intelligence, and product development. It will evaluate projects based on the published criteria.

THE AMBITION

You, your team, AI, and one day.
What will you build for Mexico?

The public data is already there. The digital infrastructure is already there. And you’re here, too. All that’s left is to connect it all and make it happen.
